New
Associate Attorneys Join RMWBH
RMWBH is thrilled to announce two new Associate Attorneys
have joined RMWBH to serve POA clients in various capacities. The first
is Silachi Nwogwugwu. Silachi joins RMWBH as a member of the Litigation
Section where he will represent POAs in insurance defense matters and
guide clients through all aspects of the litigation process, including
drafting motions, attending hearings, conducting mediations and
depositions and representing clients at trial. The second is Alex
Ogundare. Alex joins RMWBH as a member of the Community Association Law
Section where he will represent POAs of all types in the collection of
delinquent assessments, deed restriction enforcement procedures and

How
the POA Industry has Responded to a More Active Legislature

Put together the
letters P, O, and A and you will have created an acronym with negative
connotations for many people across the United States. As a result,
state legislatures in many states are increasing regulations against an
industry designed to be self-regulated by its members to protect
property values. Moving into the Lone Star State, over the last several
legislative sessions, the legislature has been actively involved in
attempts to increase legislation. Fortunately, the Texas POA industry
has responded in various ways to ensure it is abiding by the new laws
and its concerns are heard and addressed by legislators.
