May Legislative Update By Chris Trevino Committees kicked into high gear during the month of April at the 88th Texas Legislative Session. Many POA related bills saw movement, including some that passed one chamber of the Legislature and crossed to the other side of the Capitol. Our latest update provides the latest statuses on all of the POA related bills before we reach the Sine Die finale on May 29th.

For POAs with possibly hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars in an account to cover their expenses and reserves, what options exist should a bank collapse, and what safeguards can a POA take to ensure the community’s money is protected?
