Biography

Elissa Ballew is a Shareholder in RMWBH’s Litigation Section whose practice focuses on guiding clients through complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and land use disputes. Known for her strategic approach and practical mindset, Elissa works closely with clients to identify key issues early, craft creative and efficiency‑driven solutions, and position each matter for a successful outcome in court, arbitration, or administrative proceedings.

Commercial Litigation

Elissa maintains a broad and sophisticated commercial litigation practice. She represents corporations, small businesses, non‑profits, and individuals in high‑stakes disputes that often carry significant operational and financial impact. Her experience includes:

  • Commercial contract disputes
  • Enforcement and defense of non‑compete and non‑solicitation agreements
  • Franchise agreement disputes
  • Lender–borrower litigation
  • Landlord–tenant disputes involving commercial properties
  • Business fiduciary duty claims
  • Enforcement of non‑profit governing documents
  • Professional liability issues

Elissa is committed to reducing the stress that clients often experience during litigation. She ensures they feel informed, prepared, and confident when making decisions that affect both their business operations and their long‑term goals.

Real Estate and Land Use Litigation

In addition to her commercial litigation practice, Elissa represents commercial and residential developers, non‑profit organizations, landowners and individuals in a broad range of real estate and land use litigation matters. She has experience handling:

Elissa is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She received her law degree from Baylor Law School.
