Ashley Koirtyohann is a Shareholder in RMWBH’s Property Owner’s Association Section. She represents property owner’s associations across Texas in a variety of corporate matters, including but not limited to, advising clients on employment matters, advising clients on compliance with the Fair Housing Act, drafting and amending dedicatory instruments, service agreements, construction contracts and other vendor contracts. Ashley also advises clients on matters relating to capital improvements and insurance.

Using her unique background as a former social worker, Ashley is able to facilitate productive conversations, which can be important during adversarial situations where emotions are running high, such as during 209 hearings and employment disputes.

Ashley is passionate about solving clients’ “puzzles” and finding solutions to complicated issues. She tries to make sure clients understand the reasoning behind her counsel and to help clients avoid unnecessary litigation. Some of the goals of Ashley’s practice are to assist association boards of directors in operating in a way that will create a solid foundation for future boards, and to draft dedicatory instruments that will not only help to protect the association’s interests but present the rules and restrictions in a way that can be understood by every homeowner to help avoid misunderstandings and increase rates of compliance.

Ashley is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University, where she earned her Bachelor of Social Work, and received her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law.
